New Musical Director for Shropshire’s Premier Chorus. At the Telford Barbershop Harmony Chorus, better known as "The Telfordaires", Our existing MD is having to relinquish this role due to changes and increased demands in work commitments. We are looking for a committed and creative individual to step into Dale’s shoes and to build on the excellent progress he has made with the 50 strong chorus. You may be an existing MD, or looking to progress in that direction. Either way, we need someone who can continue to inspire and motivate the chorus to maintain and improve on their current standing. Harmony Lincs - Lincoln
Harmony Lincs is a 40 strong men’s barbershop chorus, based in Lincoln, that competes in local and national competitions as well as regularly performing at concerts and charity events across Lincolnshire. The current chorus director, Tony Chapman, has announced his intention of standing down from the position in June 2014 and the search to replace him has started! The chorus is seeking a director, male or female, who should have some experience of choral singing, but not necessarily in the barbershop style. A good understanding of music theory will be a distinct advantage. The chorus is determined to develop the skills of each singer, and of the chorus, in order to fulfil its undoubted potential. For the established barbershop Musical Director we offer an attractive package which includes travelling expenses, support for personal development and the opportunity to lead a chorus which is well managed, financially sound and committed to a programme of improvement. For those with a barbershop background who aspire to lead a Chorus, positive mentoring opportunities are available. Our present Musical Director Tony Chapman has announced his intention of standing down from the position but to continue as a Chorus member and will provide that support. Mentoring support is also available to applicants who are accomplished musicians in other genres who seek to widen their experience to embrace Barbershop Harmony Singing.
