Long Service Awards
Awarded to a club member of BABS who has held continuous club membership of the Association. Awarded during the calendar year they reach a milestone, at the following milestones:
- 10 years
- 20 years
- 25 years*
- 30 years
- 40 years
- 50 years**
* The 25 year award is currently being phased out until 2024.
** The 50 year award will be introduced for the first time in 2024 (the 50th year of our Association).
Award: Pin badge.
Receiving the award:
For members receiving 10, 20, 25, or 30-year pins, these will be sent to your registered home address. Members receiving 40 or 50-year pins also have the option of having their pin presented at an upcoming BABS convention.
Nominations: not applicable. This award is calculated by the BABS Membership Secretary, who notifies the Director of Membership of the award recipients.
Length of service is calculated based on the sum of the durations of all a member's non-dual club memberships. Therefore, if you leave BABS and return at a later date, the gap isn't counted. Additionally, if you leave BABS and do not return within 5 years, your data is wiped from our system as part of our Data Protection Policy; members may request to have their length of service re-instated upon presentation of their original membership certificate.
